April Randall - For over two decades, watercolor has been my medium of choice. My work is a direct reflection of my life aboard a sailboat in the San Juan Islands, where I transitioned from abstraction to capturing the immediate landscapes and wildlife that surrounded me. The discipline of plein air painting from my boat, while idyllic, presented a unique constraint: the physical limit of a small work surface.

This intimacy with my subject matter, born of direct immersion, now fuels my practice in a dedicated studio space. Established in 2024, this studio liberates my work in scale, allowing me to expand upon the fleeting effects of light, water, and life I first documented on a miniature stage. My paintings are a journey from the intimate sketch to the expansive statement, united by the fluid beauty of watercolor.

Jaime Ellsworth - Full of textural intricacies and compressed with a flattened perspective, Jaime Ellsworth’s paintings are rich with depth and symbolism that unfold beneath her simple style. Her paintings are created using layers of oil or acrylic paint beginning with a limited palette of bold colors. Subsequent layers allow the under-paint to peek through, and transparent glazes give the final surface a subtle tint. With each work, she invites the viewer to look at the simplicity of the images, then beyond, opening a door to their imagination.

Aimee Dieterle - Technically as a painter, I am challenged by continuously playing with colour theory and its endless combinations. My artworks I use edges, shapes, lines and colour to depict movement,  to interpret ordinary places and our surroundings in a fresh, new context. All my artwork are done on wood with acrylic paint.
