ARTIST STATEMENT I have a passion for creating jewelry and mixed media items. My work continues to evolve, experimenting with new processes and techniques. Currently, the fun continues when I combine texture, vintage items and nature, with a little sparkle (bling) into my designs. Most of my jewelry, and other work, include one or more of these elements. There is amazing freedom in combining mixed media with mixed metals, resulting in a unique one of-a-kind creation, hopefully bringing a smile to my customers. I have been in the jewelry design business for over 13 years. I strive to continue to grow my craft, by completing courses all over the world learning new techniques. Recently, I began teaching at home, nationally as well, being selected for a National Art Retreat, Art Unraveled, in Houston, Texas. I’m thrilled to say I have been published numerous times in Stampington’s Belle Armoire Jewelry. Feel free to contact me via email,rikis1@mac.com, for information on teaching and where to find my work on the islands, as well as other places |
