My work is a marriage between color, form and texture. It is an expression of my early recollections of my grandmothers wonderful soft and warm quilts and the reality of my vision today.

These quilts are inspired by the natural world and the memories collected throughout my life. I find piecing and machine quilting to be relaxing and very enjoyable.

My quilts are created to be textile art that can be used, loved and viewed throughout a life time. Each quilt is an original design and reflects my love of cloth and a collection of textiles that I have managed to stash away for years. Most importantly, each quilt gives me joy during and after the process of making them. I hope this spirit is transferred from my own heart to the viewer.

For myself, new and expanding creative ideas are as essential as breathing. And like breathing, I cannot live without my artwork and the pleasure it gives me.
