Artist statement Darleen Nixon has been a glass artist since 1998. She has studied with some of the leading glass artists in the United State and is a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers and the Glass Art Society. Her studio offers a serene and creative environment tucked quietly away in the woods on San Juan Island, WA. After studying with master glass artisans in Taos and Santa Fe, Darleen is now introducing her new line of fused glass serving dishes. Her work features complex hand made glass cane and unique dichroic glass infusions. She is also electroforming metals onto glass and working with lapidary faceting in her glass artistry. |
